WordPress Maintenance
Services not considered 'standard website maintenance' are subject to be charged at an hourly rate and will not be considered part of this contract.
- What IS included in this agreement:
- Consultation and guidance on the use of the web site
- Monthly off-site back-up of website (additional backups can be arranged for a fee)
- Security Check (monthly)
- Updating WordPress core software to the most stable current update
- Complete any updates for plugins
- Check functionality of all plug-ins and recommend new ones if support/upgrades are no longer available
- Client Report

- What is NOT included in this agreement:
- Updates to content and images; this is covered under hosting agreement.
- Website changes based on reports listed above.
- Website redesign, re-alignment or re-development.
- Search engine optimization services and on-page SEO such as Meta tags (title, description, keywords, alt tags).
- CMS design or integration including but not limited to blogs, shopping carts and web forums. These require a separate design agreement.
- Fixing breakages on the website which may occur due to client or any other party doing their own updates.
- Accountability for security breaches, server failure, and other breakage if the site is not hosted on our designated server..

| We purchase pre-built customisable themes from various trusted online marketplaces. |
| We receive affiliate payments from some of these marketplaces at no additional cost to you. |
| Hosting with updates is dependant on signing a minimum 24 month agreement with us. |
| WordPress sites hosted with us carry a mandatory maintenance package. |
| If you choose to host your website elsewhere, transfer costs will apply. We can provide a maintenance package with limited responsibility and liability, on request. |
| Suspended or abandoned projects will attract a reactivation fee, as mentioned under General Questions on our FAQ Page. |
| We are not liable for indirect losses (such as missed sales) due to website downtime. |
| WordPress sites will be updated to the latest versions at the time that monthly reports are done, or sooner if required for critical security patches. If there are any known issues with latest versions, we will delay updates until a stable version is available. |
| Legal pages and POPI Act compliance pages (as mentioned under Add-ons) will not be included in your site page count. We can provide generic text for the Privacy Policy, however you may prefer to consult a legal practioner for customised content. (Applies to new customers ordering a website of minimum 4 pages.) |
